PipeIn was born from a fact: in Italy 40% of drinking water is wasted because of the poor maintenance of pipelines. This means that every 30 seconds in Italy is wasted a quantity of drinking water equal to that contained in 3 Olympic swimming pools. This figure has deeply impressed us and convinced us to start our entrepreneurial project by using our engineering background.
Looking into the causes of the problem, we realized that the correct maintenance of pipelines is a common challenge in many sectors: from aqueducts to penstocks, from oil pipelines to pipes carrying fuel and hydrogen.
