Testing Shark4 in Collaboration with Edison

edison

In partnership with Edison, Pipein conducted a test of the Shark4 robot, showcasing its potential for inspecting and maintaining hydroelectric infrastructure. The activities were conducted in the first segment of a water-filled penstock to gather thickness measurements and visual data of the inside pipeline wall.

This collaboration aimed to evaluate the robot’s performance under real-world conditions, ensuring safety compliance and generating insights for technology refinement and maintenance optimization.

Currently, Edison and Pipein continue to collaborate, using insights from these tests to refine the Shark4 technology through additional field trials.
